- COMPOSITION:
Piracetam 2.0 g
Meclofenoxate 250 mg
Pyroxin hydrochloride 50 mg
Lyophilic powder in one vial 10 mg
ACTION:
Vitapiracen is a combined drug with a strong antihypoxic effect and
detoxic nonspecific antidotal action. Piracetam, included in the
combination, enhances the resistance of brain cells to hypoxia,
increases the local brain circulation, stimulates the biosynthesis
of ribonucleic acid and of macroergic products; it activates protein
biosynthesis and metabolism. Maclofenoxate chloride potentiates the
mentioned effects, while at the same time regulating the metabolism
of energy substrates in the brain cells. Pyridoxin improves the
oxidative processes, participating actively in the metabolism of
brain cells.
INDICATIONS:
Acute intoxications with neurotoxic agents, including brain hypoxia:
barbiturates, tranquilizers, neuroleptics, tricyclic
antidepressants, morphine derivatives. Intoxications with toxic
substances: organic solvents, acute alcohol and nicotine
intoxications. Combined intoxications with the above pharmaceuticals
and compounds; brain hypoxia in case of disturbed cerebrovascular
circulation, brain trauma, cerebral hemorrhage; some postoperative
conditions accompanied by asthenia. |
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Cirrhosis of liver and grave renal insufficiency.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
In acute intoxications, hypoxia and coma, the daily dose is from 1
to 3 vials, intravenously, every 6 h. In lighter cases or other
indications - it is usually administered in one vial, 3 times daily.
The content of the vial is dissolved in 10 ml distilled water. For
intravenous drip infusion the solution obtained is added to 250-500
ml, 5-10 or 20 % solution of glucose.
MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Packages with 10 vials of 30 ml.
STORAGE:
At moderate temperature (15-30 C), in a place protected from direct
sunlight.
EXPIRY:
18 (eighteen) months.
