COMPOSITION:
Molsidumin 2 mg in one tablet

ACTION:
Syndopharm is a representative of a new group of antianginal agents - syndonimins. Similar to nitrates, it dilates predominantly the capacitive vessels and reduces the overloading of the heart. That effect relieves the work of the myocardium through reduction of the oxygen demand and creates conditions for economical hemodynamics. Thevenous capacity is increased, the venous flow to the heart is reduced, the pressure in the pulmonary arteries drops, the stroke volume and the strain of the left ventricle decrease. The elasticity of the aortic wall also improves under the effect of the drug, hence the afterload of the heart is reduced.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Syndopharm is well absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract. The therapeutic plasma concentration are attained 20 to 60 min after administration and are maintained for 8-12 h. The effect, contrary to nitrate drugs, advances slowly and lasts longer. It is excreted mainly with the urine (90-95 %) and only 3-4 % with the feces.

INDICATIONS:
Ischemic heart disease, prevention of anginal paroxysms, after infarction. It reduces the intensity and frequency of anginal paroxysms.

SIDE EFFECTS:
A slight deceleration of the frequency of heart contractions is induced by long-term administration, as well as reduction of arterial pressure. Syndopharm sometimes causes headache, nausea and vomiting, which abate after the dose is reduced.

PRECAUTIONS:
Blood pressure should be controlled regularly, especially in patients with unstable hypertension.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:
The treatment is carried out under physician's control and is initiated with 1/2-1 tablet, twice daily. In more severe cases - 1 tablet, every 6-8 h.

MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Packages with 30 tablets of 2 mg.

STORAGE:
At moderate temperature (15-30° C), in a place protected from moisture and direct sunlight.

EXPIRY:
3 (three) years.
